I thought it needed its own thread away from the 49 pages of us planing the whole thing....so here goes. Okay, technically as I write this the Expo is pretty much winding up now but I'm back home so I figured I'd start.

Friday:

Started the day by being woken up with a text from Ama, grabed all of my stuff and started walking to the bus station, unfortunately on the way the paint on my fork started to melt so the fork made it to Expo but didn't get much action. I'll fix it soon!
Arrived in Victoria last so was really nervous to meet everyone, it was fine though and we all head off to the Excell center to dump our stuff down at the hotel. On the way we played in a park opposite the Tower of London (omg who took the pics?? XD ) Got to the hotel and whilst checking in Toxic and Mel had found a Ben and Jerrys ice cream vending machine with 'sucking action' so we all got ice cream to see.
Next we all went off to Belle's house (had a really long drawn out conversation about 'squid inc' and how to milk squids and what they look like when being milked....yup) We threw on some costumes and stuff and no kidding Toxic changed costume a million times without even pausing. She is a machine! We got some pics of Toxic and Ama as Cori and Tanto and Melponmene as Alonzo, Boush and Carbucketty and I forget who else as what. There were so many costume changes going on I lost track. Back to the hotel again via M&S for instant porridge and bacon (Ama thats weird) We all went back to Ama's room, I finished sewing the fluffies onto Admetus and then I don't remember everyone leaving because I fell asleep.

Saturday:

Made it out of bed in good time, Ama and myself went downstairs for all you can eat breakfast and we Rumpled a few breakfast items for Mark. We all got into costume, silly props ensued and then Kizz joined us. Finally we head over to the Excell centre in the rain (que Platona's wet kitty feet circa Fc09) and joined the others. Kizz ran back to sew her warmers to her unitard so we lost her for a bit whilst we all got our Expo wrist bands. Forest and myself lost the others and found ourselves in an utterly pointless que. We posed for loads of pics and then generally just bummed around. Kizz came back and we started to 'cat' in the middle of a clearing in the Excel centre, this drew loads of people and we were asked for so many photos, people just wanted to sit with us and have their photo taken, everyone was so in character and zomg over the knee warmers are amazing, I can slide like Macavity! I think we were at this for a couple of hours, my hands are filthy and I hurt in so many places but it was worth it, Odynn isn't even showing any wear or tear. There were some fantastically funny children. One small girl made a point of stroking each of our wigs, then she would hug all of us and then stroke our wigs again. She was so cute and spent a good amount of time catting with us.
It was time to say goodbye to Toxic but not before she could take a few sneaky pictures of Bomba on some random motorbike in the carpark. I wish we could send them to the owner of the bike "whilst you were away..."
We walked back to the Excel centre and had a lot more photos taken and the little girl from earlier came back, she had been looking for us because she had a piece of yarn from the Admetus tail that had fallen off and she gave it back to us...then stroked all of our wigs and hugged us and then stroked all of our wigs etc etc. Bless.
It was time for me to go but I suck so long story short I missed my coach at Victoria by literally minutes so I was forced to go back to the hotel with everyone else, watch the Eurovision song contest and eat pizza. Tch. Germany one btw.

Sunday:

Ama and myself awoke...eventually after pushing the snooze button for about 45 minutes. We sat around in bed talking about CATS and the ccdb, I think we woke Mark up by being loud. Then it was time for me to get ready and go, I had booked a coach for 12:30 on the Sunday (its a bank holiday weekend, its the best I could do) and work then phoned to tell me that I had to cover a shift because I had missed my morning shift. Unfortunately I also missed my biggest face painting gig of the year and the Wurzels :( I got home and then work told me they didn't need me. Damn...if I had foresight I could still have been in London right now....Mark and Ama's coach doesn't leave for another couple of hours at least. Poo.

Other stuff:

Zomg Taintie none of us realised how small your little CATS dolls are. If you open again I neeeeeed an Odynn one. The Tugger one was so cute.

Ama confessed that she had wanted to cosplay as Jesse from Team Rocket. This is how I know that Ama is my bbfl4evargh because I have always wanted to cosplay as James. I also have to figure out how to make helium ballons as Kizz said it would be awesome to have Weezing and Arbok as balloons and now it has to be done.

My fav cosplayers that I saw were definatley Freezer (DBZ) and Gundam 01Wing, Quatre and Trowa (GundamWing).

This October Expo we plan on doing a Dr Who baddies cosplay group and possibly more CATS I think we shall have to sneak Team Rocket in there somewhere :p

Heres mah pics! http://www.flickr.com/photos/35214749@N ... 167570956/
Would anyone object if I pinched a few pics from other people for my album or website? I didn't get too many of Admetus on my camera :(

Yay! Ena pics!

But what? I'm so sorry your trip home was so wasted! And to miss the Wurzels, nevermind the face painting... :(( We missed you today! Next time, we'll get it a bit better organised and spend more time doing cool stuff!

Report coming soon... sorting out minor camera crisis where the last 25 of the 250 pics taken today won't copy across automatically, I've taken the card out of the camera and put it in my printer and that seems happier...

Prettiest cast of CATS ever, possibly. Seriously, all of you look beyond fantastic together. Makes me anxious to go and paint something!

Sorry about the trouble with your coach though, Ena. An extended stay always seems to have its advantages and its disadvantages.

Also, I agree. Team Rocket cosplay must be done.

Back...um I'll do that report thing soon...Me, Kizz and Ama all had to travel back on our coaches in costume...due to london transport...totally not the fact we spent to much time hugging people and taking photos! Thanks Maz for getting us to the train on time!

I'll leave you with a picture though!

FINALLY got home. I think it's safe to say I was the last to return. Though I swear it didn't take an hour to get back to Plymouth after leaving AC at Exeter.

Showered and de catted at long last, but to be honest, if the expo could have gone on longer I would happily live in that costume. Speaking of... we did so much catting today, and there's a bit of wear and tear on my uni. Dirt smudges and kind of a faded rear! But it was so worth it for the amount of fun we had.

Also, this has to be the most filmed meet in CCDB history, AC was a ninja with my video camera, now I have goodness knows how much video to edit and get online....

So much love for everyone who was there though, a more brilliant bunch I couldn't have wished for. October is too far away to wait to see you all again. *hugs to all*

Tired now, my own trip report and photos coming tomorrow, whatever time I finally wake up!
